Riad Zina
|
This
was the location of
our last 2 nights in Marrakech. I was looking for "authentic"
places to stay rather than another brand name hotel and found numerous ones online at http://www.riadsmorocco.com/.
I found this riad at http://www.riadzina-marrakech.com/. All in
all this was a lucky find. The house was delightful and Beate Prinz,
the owner, was quite the hostess. |

I can't say that this choice was a hit right off.
The alley above is the entrance into the riad. There was some
skepticism as to whether we could drag our luggage and all the items we
had bought through this narrow, crowded alley. Luckily, we had brought
our trusty, "homeland security" hand cranked flashlight as the last few
steps were in the dark with the alley height less than 6 feet. But . .
The photo to the left shows the entrance to the riad with the low alley
leading to it to the immediate right of the entrance.
Once inside, the riad opened up into the sunny, open air place you see
in the pictures below. Other scheduled guests had cancelled leaving the
whole house to us.
Beate's housekeeper, Malika, invited us to visit her family for the Eid as soon as we had dropped our bags.
A highly recommended choice for accommodations in Morocco. |
